Clubman Sprints - Round 1 Lakeside

Hi All,

Firstly i would like to thank everyone, racers and spectators, who came along on Sunday to our first round of the Clubman Sprints at Lakeside. All in all this event was a great success for our members, providing an affordable solution to getting out on track (around the cost of one speeding ticket).

Although our numbers were lower than the initial interest i think the next events will be more popular once word starts getting around how much fun these days are. It was also great the see a number for owners get out on track for there first time. Everyone got 4 sessions of at least 5 timed laps.

Congratulations must go to our two front runners Bruce Chamberlain and Ross Rundle who put in consistent lap times with their best times being separated by a mere 0.12sec. For a full list of results click here and for event photos click here.

Additionally we are currently discussing with Lakeside about the inclusion of unregistered vehicles. This will provide a great opportunity for members who are not yet registered, have unregistered race clubmans or historic clubmans to get out on track and join in on the fun.

Entry forms for the next event on 1st August will be available shortly.

Regards
